Join us as we embark on a digital journey, celebrating the rich history and enduring legacy of the Lindsay Post, an iconic newspaper that served the community of Lindsay, Ontario, from 1861 to 2013. This online exhibition, Our History Through the Lindsay Post, pays tribute to one of the oldest newspapers in the region, renowned for its unwavering commitment to journalism excellence and its pivotal role in shaping the social and cultural landscape of its community.

Our History Through the Lindsay Post | Exhibition Premiere Event
Join us at the Kawartha Lakes Museum and Archives for a reception celebrating the launch of our online exhibition, Our History Through the Lindsay Post. This event will take you on a journey through the evolution of our town's newspaper business, spotlighting the exceptional work of Alan Roy Capon, a renowned photographer and editor at the Lindsay Post during the 1960s.

Museum Book Club
The museum is starting a new book club! Join us for our first read, celebrating local author @hollayghadery with her book Fuse. Thurs., May 25th from 6-8pm at the museum. Hollay will be at the club meeting to discuss her work and answer questions. Copies available at the museum gift shop $20. Don’t forget to RSVP.
Mini Writer's Retreat
The day will begin with a guided tour through the museum’s current exhibits. Perhaps you’ll be inspired by an object, its history, or takes of the ghosts that inhabit the building. After the tour, you’ll be free to take your laptop or notebook to a quiet corner and write. Or, gather in the Community Room for writing prompts brainstorming, and snacks.
