Ice Storm β€˜98: A Grassroots Initiative from one Caring Community

This year is the 25th anniversary of the Great Ice Storm of β€˜98. On January 4, a seven day ice storm moved in from the United States to the border of Ontario and Quebec. The resulting damages left 5.4 million people without power, and over $5 billion in damages. Board Director Catherine Hennings sat down with Digital Content Curator Elaine Jones to reflect on the historic storm. Catherine spearheaded the Lindsay-based community effort to aid those in need in nearby Perth and Lanark county. Join us to share in the story of those that came together when it mattered most:
